Strawberry and Banana Tofu Juice to Fight Diabetes

Strawberries are full of fisetin which is effective in reducing complications arising due to diabetes.  Bananas are considered safe for diabetics so long as they are taken in moderation hence this juicing recipe only contains 1 small ripe banana for 2 glasses of healthy juice.  Bananas has many health benefits as they can help boosts immune systems and control blood pressure.  Consuming banana with foods rich in protein like tofu can help in lowering blood sugar levels.

 

Tofu is found to be effective in suppressing the rise in blood sugar levels and strengthening the blood vessels to help protect against complications from diabetes.

 

Ingredients

  • 100 grams strawberries, washed and hulled

  • 1 small ripe banana

  • 175 grams soft tofu

  • 350 ml fresh orange juice

  • Ice

Method

  1. Place the strawberries, banana and tofu into a liquidiser and blend well until it turns into a purée.

  2. Add orange juice and blend well again.

  3. Place ice into 2 glasses and pour strawberry and banana tofu juice equally into 2 glasses.
